Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2026

1. Overview

Calcyo ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our website and tools at calcyo.xyz.

Our fundamental principle: your data is yours alone. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information you enter into our tools.

2. Client-Side Processing (No Data Collection)

All Calcyo tools run entirely in your web browser. This means:

  • No server transmission: Any data you enter (text, numbers, files) never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers or third-party services.
  • No storage: We do not store, cache, or log any inputs or outputs from our tools.
  • No processing: All calculations, conversions, and formatting happen locally in your browser using JavaScript.
  • Browser memory only: Data exists only in your browser's memory during your session. Closing your browser clears all data.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

  • Personal identification information (name, email, phone, etc.)
  • Input data or results from tool usage
  • Usage logs or interaction history
  • IP addresses (beyond standard web server access logs)
  • Browsing behavior or device identifiers
  • Cookies (for tracking or analytics purposes)

4. Cookies & Local Storage

Calcyo may use browser local storage or session storage only for essential functionality, such as:

  • Remembering your theme preference (light/dark mode)
  • Storing tool-specific settings for your convenience within a session

We do not use advertising pixels, and your tool input data is never tracked or sent anywhere. However, we use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics to measure aggregate site traffic and performance metrics (page views, approximate location, device/browser type) to improve user experience. See "Analytics" section below for details.

5. Third-Party Services

Calcyo may use third-party libraries and services for:

  • Frontend frameworks: React, Next.js, Framer Motion (no data transmission to third parties).
  • CDN/Hosting: Content delivery and website hosting (standard access logs only).
  • Optional contact form service: If you submit a contact form, data may be sent to a service like Formspree or Resend (review their privacy policies).

None of these services receive or process your tool usage data.

6. Analytics

Calcyo uses the following analytics services to measure site traffic and performance:

  • Google Analytics 4: Tracks aggregate page views, user flow, and device/browser information to help us understand site usage and improve performance.
  • Vercel Analytics: Measures web vitals and performance metrics for site optimization.

Important: These analytics services only receive aggregate, anonymized data about your visit (page views, approximate location, device type). Your tool inputs, calculations, and any sensitive data you process remain 100% private and are never sent to any analytics service or external server. You can opt out of Google Analytics by visiting Google's opt-out page.

7. Contact Form & Communication

If you choose to contact us via the contact form, the information you provide will be sent to our email or a form-handling service. You should review the privacy policy of any third-party service we use (e.g., Formspree, Resend).

8. Security

Since all data processing happens client-side and nothing is transmitted to our servers, the primary security concern is the security of your device. We recommend:

  • Keep your browser and operating system up to date
  • Use a trusted, modern web browser
  • Do not use Calcyo on shared or untrusted devices when entering sensitive information

9. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data, most data subject rights (GDPR, CCPA) do not apply. However:

  • You can clear your browser's local storage and cookies at any time
  • You have the right to privacy and anonymity when using our tools
  • You can contact us with any privacy-related concerns

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or applicable law. We will post the updated policy here with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Calcyo constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
